Do you know what wedding accessories you are going to wear on your wedding day? There are so many different ways you can accessorize for your wedding that it is almost overwhelming. Will you wear a necklace, bracelet, earrings, hair clip, or even all of the above? How do you even know which accessory is for you? To help you along with your accessory choosing journey we have created a short guide to help make choosing your wedding accessories a little easier.

  1. Choose Your Hair and Jewelry Accessories AFTER You Have Chosen Your Wedding Dress: Once you know what dress you are going to wear, it is easier to match your accessories to the style you want to achieve for your overall wedding day look.
  2.  Limit Your Accessories to Only One Statement Piece to be Complemented by a Few Smaller Pieces: Now, we are certainly not saying this needs to be perfectly followed. There are some instances when rules are meant to be broken. For example, do not be afraid to have only one jewelry statement piece and no smaller pieces, if that is what suits your personality and wedding style.
  3. Do Not be Afraid to Use Color: A recent bridal style that is currently trending are brides who wear bright and vibrant pops of color against their pearly white wedding dresses. This is usually done with a sparkly pair of shoes or a cute petticoat peering out from below the wedding dress. Other, and more unique, ways that this trend is being done is with floral or woodland crowns in stunning contrasting colors or bright bold jewels.
  4. Choose Accessories that Make You Feel Special: This is perhaps the most important rule to follow. Everything that you choose for your wedding day should make you feel like the most special woman in the entire world. With that being said, this is easy to accomplish when you pick wedding accessories in keeping with your personality and bridal style. We often find brides choosing to wear popular bridal trends over their own unique personality and style. This decision often turns out to be a mistake because these trends go out of style fairly quickly, which shows and stands out in photographs in the years afterward.
  5. Do Not Wait Until the Last Minute to Choose Your Wedding Accessories: If you wait until the last minute to decide on your wedding accessories, you not only run the risk of not having enough time to find the perfect accessories, but you also lose out on the fun of trying on and enjoying different styles and types of accessories. Just like a blouse or a dress, an accessory will look completely different when you try it on, which may lead you to choosing an accessory that you would not have normally thought of wearing for your wedding day.
