Is your wedding taking place on a beautiful lowcountry summer day with soaring hot temperatures? If so, there are probably several ideas of cool summer drinks and snacks running through your head. It’s important to have a menu that not only matches the occasion but will also satisfy your wedding guests. Below are 4 foods to avoid for a summer Lowcountry wedding.
- BBQ Ribs & Wings: Even though a plate of barbecue ribs and wings sounds tasty, your wedding day may not be the best time to serve them. The mess that can be made from them can cause people to avoid being in pictures and can cause mess to be made on your expensive table clothes.
- Hot Soups: Its hot outside and serving guests hot soups will not help their raising body tempatures.
- Chocolate Dipping Fountain: This may be a wedding favorite but it is also a messy one. Especially in the summer heat. Due to the high tempatures, the chocolate never fully hardens and it can quickly become a mess for people to eat.
- Cheese Station: Even though cheese goes great with wine, it does not go great with heat. The last thing you will want is a giant melted cheese plate at your wedding.
