Congratulations to the bride and groom, Oliver & Kathryn Barnes, on their GORGEOUS Lowcountry wedding! They chose to have their wedding day at Old Sheldon Church Ruins! The very place where Oliver proposed to Kathryn! Swoon!

After hearing this news we just had to ask what their love story was, which Kathryn said,”I met Oliver my first week at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Oliver was living in Charleston, SC at the time. We would see each other only on the weekends for the first half of our relationship. Oliver soon moved to Columbia and we have been together every since. After I graduated in 2013, we moved to Beaufort. Oliver would spend his summers at Hunting Island and we both have always loved Beaufort.” Ah! We love it!

We then of course asked the next question on our minds of why did you choose the Lowcountry for your special day, which Kathryn happily replied, “Oliver grew up in this area, I fell in love with the Lowcountry as soon as I moved here. Old Sheldon Church was a large factor in our decision. We knew we wanted to get married there.” We could not agree with you more! Old Sheldon Church is, of course, one of the many beautiful treasures that Beaufort, SC has to offer!

Thank you Oliver & Kathryn Barnes for giving us a little peak into your wedding day! It was truly a beautiful wedding full of love and happiness! We adore the backdrop of sweeping oak trees coupled with the rustic beauty of Old Sheldon Church Ruins. May y’all have a life time of happiness!
