Lissie & Brayden were married by a friend at Summerall Chapel in front of their closest family & friends and the reception was at the SC Aquarium in Charleston SC. Lissie wanted to be a marine biologist, and though she chose a different career path, she still loves marine life! Their first date as o-fish-ally boyfriend and girlfriend was at Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach! It was nice to tie in the start of their relationship to the beginning of their marriage!
Lissie & her bridesmaids (and honorary bridesmaids) got ready at a cute historic carriage house downtown. They were wearing Friends themed tank tops and Lissie’s said “I Found My Lobster”…keeping that nautical theme going. Lissie warned me early on that she is obsessed with monograms and she had them on her garter, her veil, and gave monogrammed totes to her bridesmaids. I love how colorful the bridesmaids were, they blended in perfectly with the historic downtown homes!
During cocktail hour and the reception, their guests had a gorgeous view of the Cooper River and had free reign walking around inside. The cake was cut with a knife engraved with all the generations of Lissie’s family who’ve used it and then they drank champagne out of a special cup that made them work together so they didn’t spill any.
