Are you having trouble finding a wedding reception venue and caterer that will not only wow your guests with its beauty but will also impress your guests’ tastebuds? Then look no further because Lowcountry Bride has the answer that you have been looking for: The Mackey House and Southern Graces & Company.
The Mackey House, located in Savannah, G.A, is a venue packed full of not only beauty but also history! The land on which this colonial home stands on was used as an encampment for Confederate soldiers led by General William Hardy, and was occupied by Union Army troops led by General William T. Sherman after their March to the Sea. Additionally, this southern home is still a family affair in true southern tradition as the land is still owned and operated by the descendants of original landowner, John Martin, a Scottish Highlander emigrant who came to the Georgia area when it was still a colony in 1742. You can learn more about The Mackey House and its current openings here.
Southern Graces & Company is a local event planning and catering service stationed out of Beaufort, S.C. Founded by its owner Bethany Boles Hewitt in 2002 out of her passion for food, flowers, and parties, Southern Graces & Company has quickly become one the most popular event planners in the Lowcountry. They have organized several of the Southeast’s most spectacular bashes including the reception for The Lord Bishop of London, the CMT Awards, & the launch of Porsche 911!
