The Mackey House, located in Savannah, G.A, is a venue packed full of not only beauty but also history! The land on which this colonial home stands on was used as an encampment for Confederate soldiers led by General William Hardy, and was occupied by Union Army troops led by General William T. Sherman after their March to the Sea. Additionally, this southern home is still a family affair in true southern tradition as the land is still owned and operated by the descendants of original landowner, John Martin, a Scottish Highlander emigrant who came to the Georgia area when it was still a colony in 1742.
